Love Suffers Long
If you’ve ever felt worn out from carrying the weight of others, loving quietly through hardship, or walking alongside those who struggle and stumble, I want you to know you’re not alone—and this message is especially for you. In 2 Corinthians 11:27–29, the Apostle Paul paints a raw and honest picture of what love truly looks like: a love that endures hunger, cold, sleepless nights, and the heavy burden of caring deeply for others. It’s a love that doesn’t give up, even when it hurts.
This kind of love is not something we often celebrate in our culture because it’s messy and costly. But it’s the love that Jesus showed us—a love that suffered for us when we couldn’t save ourselves. It’s a love that carries the weight of others and still chooses to stay.
This Sunday, we’ll dive into this powerful passage and reflect on what it means to love with that same steadfast heart. Whether you’re exhausted, discouraged, or feeling unseen in your sacrifices, I pray this message will bring encouragement and remind you that God sees every act of love, no matter how small or hidden.
I hope you’ll join us as we explore together how the Gospel calls us into this kind of love—one that suffers long but never loses hope.
In Christ,
Khalil Ayoub
