Measured by God, Not by Men
I hope you’re having a great weekend and finding moments of rest and joy. I wanted to take a moment to remind you that we’d love to see you at church tomorrow. There’s something special about gathering together in worship, opening God’s Word, and being reminded of who we are in Christ and who He’s calling us to be.
Tomorrow, I’ll be continuing our series in 2 Corinthians. We’ll be in chapter 10, verses 8 through 18, and the message is titled “Measured by God, Not by Men.” As I’ve been preparing, my heart has been drawn to the theme of humility. It’s such a Christ-like virtue, and yet one that seems so rare in our world today. It breaks my heart how little it’s pursued, even among those of us who follow Jesus. My prayer is that this passage challenges and encourages us to embrace the beauty of humility—not as weakness, but as strength that comes from being grounded in God’s truth about who we are.
And don’t forget—after service we’ll be heading to the YMCA in Edgewater for our church-wide pool party! It’s always a great time to relax, enjoy one another’s company, and let the kids burn off some energy. Whether you’re swimming or just hanging out poolside, I hope you’ll join us.
I’m looking forward to worshiping with you all tomorrow and spending the afternoon together.
