The Season of Advent
We hope you enjoyed celebrating Thanksgiving. We pray it was a great time, not just of food and fun, but of intentional thankfulness and praise to God. We pray that God would continue to develop in each of us a heart of sincere gratitude to Him. The development of gratitude proves important for us not just on Thanksgiving, but even more so as we continue into the month of December and shift our attention to Christmas. Christmas can bring many things, like time with family, gifts, food, and so much more. However, let’s not lose our hearts of gratitude as we celebrate this year the greatest gift we could ever receive: God’s Son, Jesus, coming to earth as a precious baby to one day die and rise again in order to save you and me. This beautiful gift of salvation is why our heart of gratitude must continue beyond Thanksgiving and into each day. We pray that God will continue to remind you of this gift as we begin our Advent series tomorrow morning. We look forward to seeing all of you and worshiping with you then!
