The Pursuit of God in Our Home

Today we celebrate Father’s Day! God in His perfection realized the vital need for a father in each home. It is difficult being a father in today’s culture, and often we feel alone in our endeavor in raising our children and loving our families well. It can be difficult to find a balance between work and family, but my hope is that we can always evaluate how we cherish one of the most precious gifts God has given us, our family. We appreciate all you fathers who have sacrificed so much for your families, often exhausted and with little appreciation. We also have the joy of having a child dedication after service on Sunday. This is not baptism, but rather a public commitment from parents to live godly lives and raise their children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4). We desire at Beachside to be a church that surrounds these families and encourages them as they strive to be godly parents.
