SERMON NOTES:

I think sometimes we forget that perfection is something we will never accomplish in this life. We all have areas in our lives where we fail too often, and it leads to extreme frustration. These failures could be small habits that we know we need to have more victories in, or it could be a hidden sin that is wearing at your soul. Paul says in Philippians 3:12 that he has not reached perfection, but this does not keep him from striving to achieve the perfection of Christ. He encourages us to forget our past mistakes and look forward to what God calls us to be. Some of us are stuck in our past mistakes and we forget the beauty of grace and forgiveness. We don’t believe that God will truly make all things new and restore us. I am challenging you to fight for your sanctification and your relationship with God. Be honest about where you are at, and let Him wash you in grace. I look forward to Sunday when we get to tackle this beautiful passage in Philippians together.
