SERMON NOTES:

This week we will continue our series through the book of James as we study James 4:6-10. In this passage, James reminds us that in the midst of our struggles and warring with sin, God gives us grace and strength. He calls us to draw near to Him in humility, depending on Him and not ourselves. This is why God opposes the proud – our pride says that we do not need God in this life. Nothing could be farther from the truth. As we continue to fight against sin and strive to become more like Christ, we need to humbly depend on God every moment. Praise God that we can cling to Him!
