SERMON NOTES:

Our hope is completely rooted in the grace of God. This week we will discuss how without grace, hope would be an impossible idea to fathom. How many times in your life have you failed or blatantly sinned? I can’t even count the number of times I have sinned against God and people. How I have chosen my desires over what is best for my wife and kids, or how I have been too prideful to admit my wrongdoings. We could try to make a list, but we would fail at that too. Our only hope is Grace. 2 Thessalonians 2:16-17 says,  “Now may our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father, who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace.” What a beautiful statement! God loves us and has given us comfort and hope for an eternal reward. You may be in a season where you need grace and love to surround you. I want to tell you that the King in heaven desires to fill your heart with a hope that brings eternal peace to your weary soul.
