Kay is married to Kent Mattern and they have served together in children’s ministry for over 25 years. Kay and Kent are parents to five children and grandparents to three with more to come! Kay’s love for children has been lifelong. She has worked directing daycares, private childcare, teaching homeschool co-ops, directing summer vacation Bible schools, teaching Sunday School, Children’s Church and more. 

You may even know her as “Cupcake the Clown” who facepaints every opportunity she gets.  Recognizing the people God placed in her life at an early age who made such an impact on her faith, her heart’s desire is to share the love of God with every child in her path and encourage them in their walk with Him just as her Sunday school teachers, youth leaders, and pastors did while, at the same time, coming alongside parents and supporting them with Godly guidance and love.
